My aunt paid total attention.
If you were talking to her, no one else in the room, city, hemisphere mattered to her.
You were it.
But this wasn’t some innate gift, my uncle tells me. She didn’t come out of the womb like this.
She decided to do it. She practiced at it. She became masterful with it.
In other words, she chose to be attentive. Then did the work to make it so.
And I find this so hopeful, so attainable.
That some intentions can be made manifest through no other magic than practice.
